Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about ordering bespoke engraved gifts from Pronto Images.
Ordering & Invoicing
Not at all. While our website is geared towards the military market, we engrave for anyone. We regularly work with rugby clubs, football clubs, universities, schools, businesses, and private individuals — if it can be engraved, we can put your logo or design on it.
Whether it's a company award, a sports presentation trophy, a corporate gift, or something completely personal — just get in touch and we'll sort it.
You can browse and order directly through our website at www.prontoimages.co.uk. Simply add items to your basket, enter your engraving details at checkout, and we'll take it from there. If you're not sure what you need, drop us a line and we'll help point you in the right direction.
No dramas at all — this is something we deal with regularly. Simply place your order through www.prontoimages.co.uk as normal and select BACS / Bank Transfer at checkout. This submits the order and automatically generates an invoice you can hand to your accounts or mess treasurer to settle.
"If we can, we will." — We've invoiced hundreds of messes, unit funds, and regimental associations. We know how military accounts work and we'll make the process as easy as possible. We accept all major credit and debit cards through the website, as well as BACS bank transfer. Bank transfer is the preferred route for mess, unit, and regimental orders where an invoice needs to go through official accounts.
No minimum order — whether you need one item or one hundred, we'll sort it. Single bespoke gifts are just as welcome as large bulk mess orders.
Turnaround Times & Delivery
Our standard production lead time is around 10 working days from artwork approval. That said, we always work to the customer's actual deadline — so if you let us know when you need it by, we'll be honest about whether we can hit it.
For many orders, we can turn things around considerably faster. If it's urgent, just say so and we'll do our best to make it work.
Often, yes. Timings can be tight but they're rarely impossible. Give us your deadline and we'll be straight with you about what's achievable. We regularly turn around last-minute mess function orders and dine-out gifts — just get in touch as early as you can and we'll do our best.
Simple mantra here: "if we can, we will."We ship via tracked courier and Royal Mail. Postage costs depend on the size and weight of your order and are calculated at checkout. Bulk orders (such as coasters or glassware for a mess function) typically carry a flat delivery rate — we'll confirm this when quoting.
If you have a specific delivery address for a unit or mess, just make sure to give us the full address including any building or site reference once everything's confirmed.
Get in touch and we'll check the tracking straight away. If there's an issue with the courier, we'll chase it from our end and keep you updated. If an item has genuinely gone missing in transit, we'll get it sorted for you — no fuss.
You can reach us at info@prontoimages.com or on 01536 205816.
Artwork & File Formats
For the vast majority of military orders, no — we already have an extensive library of regimental crests, cap badges, and unit insignia on file. Just tell us your regiment or corps when you order and we'll use what we have.
If your artwork is something unique — a personal logo, a non-standard design, or a crest we may not hold — just send it over and we'll take a look. We can work with most common formats including JPG, PNG, PDF, and vector files (AI, EPS, SVG). If you're not sure whether your file is suitable, ping it across to info@prontoimages.com and we'll check it for you.
Yes. If you can describe what you'd like or send us a rough idea (even a photo of a sketch), we'll create a design proof for you to review before anything is engraved. We'll always send a draft for approval first — nothing goes into production until you're happy with it.
Yes — if you'd like a design proof before we begin, just ask when placing your order or drop us a message and we'll get one across to you. Please note that requesting a proof may add a little time to your order, so if you have a tight deadline it's worth factoring that in.
If we do spot anything obvious that doesn't look right — a name that seems misspelled, a rank that doesn't match — we'll flag it before cracking on rather than just engraving it as given.
If the error is ours — wrong engraving, wrong item, something that doesn't match what was agreed — we'll replace it at no charge and get the corrected item to you as quickly as possible. No arguments, no fuss.
If the wording or details supplied at the time of ordering contained an error, we'll always work with you to find the best path forward — whether that's re-engraving at cost or another solution.
Pricing & Quotes
Prices for our standard products are shown on the website at www.prontoimages.co.uk. For bulk orders, bespoke commissions, or mess function quotes, just get in touch with your requirements and we'll come back to you with a price quickly.
Yes. For larger orders — dine-outs, mess gifts, retirement presentations, passing-out parades — we offer competitive bulk pricing on a per-unit basis. Get in touch with your quantities and requirements and we'll come back to you with a quote quickly.
We'll always confirm whether VAT and delivery are included when we quote, so there are no surprises.
Yes, all prices displayed on our website are inclusive of VAT. For bulk and bespoke quotes we'll always make clear whether VAT and delivery are included, so there are no surprises.
Yes, we can — but it's worth knowing that engraving both sides effectively doubles the production time and cost. For example, 65 glasses engraved on both sides represents the same workload as 130 engraved on one side.
We'll always flag this before committing to a price, so you can make the call that suits your budget. We're happy either way — we just want you to have the full picture before you decide.
About Pronto Images
Yes — Pronto Images is officially licensed by the Ministry of Defence. This means we are authorised to reproduce and engrave official British Armed Forces cap badges, regimental crests, and Corps insignia on our products. You can order with complete confidence that we're operating within the proper licensing framework.
Pronto Images is a family-run business based in Corby, Northamptonshire, founded and run by a former Royal Engineer with over 23 years of British Army service. We know military life from the inside, which is why our products and service are designed around what servicemen and women — and their families — actually value.
When you contact us, you'll speak to a real person, not a call centre.
We're sorry to hear that. Please get in touch and send us a couple of photos of the damage and the packaging if you still have it. Once we've seen the evidence, we'll arrange a replacement and get it away to you as quickly as we can. We'll also chase the courier from our end.
No drama — we'll get it put right.
Very possibly, yes. Our website shows a selection of what we offer, but it doesn't cover everything. If you have something specific in mind — a different material, a non-standard product, a fully bespoke commission — get in touch and we'll tell you honestly whether we can make it happen.
"If we can, we will." We decline work very rarely — if there's a way, we'll find it.
